I'm Akib.
I have a sports background, mostly playing street soccer and some pickup basketball.
Played for fun on some high school teams. Severely underweight, but weirdly strong for my size.I started lifting near the end of COVID, back when gyms started opening up. Went down the Youtube pipeline beginning with some OG influencers then transitioning to more educational figures in the space.I followed through with a bulk but I just constantly cheated and coped. Called it a "dirty bulk". I did it for around 4 months, got pretty fat, and went from around 160 to 211 lbs.Fast forward a bit and I decided to prep for my first show, an amateur NPC competition in the men's physique category.
Did a 16-week prep, and managed to take first in my class.This is when I started going down the actual pipeline of fitness, learning from the top coaches and researchers. Absorbing as much as I can, learning from coaching friends and clients from TikTok.Recomped from the show properly, did a few "mini-cuts" in between a very long massing phase, ending peak bulk around 235 lbs. Now just 4 weeks later I'm hovering around 203 lbs.I prioritize outcomes and results over the journey and the grind. I am constantly refining my knowledge and learning from the best in the industry.I'm tired of all the fluff I see in the fitness industry and I hope you are too.
